Hana


This is a little church I found while in Hana last time. It's in the actual town and just a few blocks away from the beach.

I don't know any of the history of the church but it seemed to be fairly old, probably from the early 1900's

    I did a little serching around on the internet... Here is a bit of what I found:

    The Wananalua Church was built in 1838 from volcanic rock held together with cement of pulverized coral stone. The interior features native koa wood.

  2. You're a very resourceful man! I didn't go inside but next time I;m there I will have to stop in to see the wood.
