I don't see a whole lot of other trees in this picture either. Interesting find, interesting countryside compared to around here anyway. So are you hiking on trails or just picking a direction and walking? The reason I ask about trails is this looks like perfect mountain bike country if there are.
This tree gave it it's all but in the long run the space just wasn't big enough for the tree to grow for long.
