The new lens arrived yesterday, a Sigma 150-500mm, and I think it's going to take some getting use to. The OS sure is nice even though I am going to have to get use to it doing it's thing. The one thing that is really throwing me is the zoom turns the opposite direction than I'm used to.It definitely makes getting the close up shots easier and less dangerous!

ReplyDeleteI did a bunch of test shots with my new lens last night and found that the best results at max zoom (400mm) were at f9 and with an ISO of 800 or less for my setup. Handheld with the OS I was able to shoot down to 1/10th of a second at 400mm (sitting in my chair) and get clear results! Quite amazing really!
