Why yes Paul, I did do a little looking around while I was there! LOL
This 1000+ pound granite rock is what I found just below and west of the cave. It is balancing on the one rock below it and the back corner is touching the rock on the left to hold it steady.
In my other hobby this is a very important rock. These were left behind by the Spanish in the 1600's and 1700's and were known as "compass rocks". The Spanish would shape and stack these rocks to point the direction to the mine or vault were the minerals from the mines were kept.
I will definitely be returning to this spot when it cools off!
