I like the top photo. You did a good job of getting the bird in perfect focus. That's hard to do when there is something so close in the front like the twigs and leaves.What in the world is that sitting on the beach in the second shot?

Always something interesting to photograph when you go exploring on one of the many tidal flats that are at the head of most inlets.
