What I Got

Well since Ron posted the photo of me taking a photo, I should at least show you what I ended up with. This is a Lake Lawtonka from the top of Mt. Scott. I was standing on a boulder with a 75 to 100 foot drop off. This is another photo taken with the panoramic setting on my camera.

  1. Nice shot! You managed to capture all the Lake and also a number of Wind Generators located in the Slick Hills. This photo takes in a very large area.

Now, climb off the Boulder before the wind blows you off and follow up with close ups of the same area. Photo opportunities abound in this area!

  2. You are a brave young man Aron. It's very hard not to take a little risk for an awesome view like that. I might do that if I'm in 20s or 30s. I just turn 45 a week ago, and lately I feel there's a delay on my body movements after signals from my brain.

I can see you have a heart for photography. Photography is easy. Therefore, if you haven't done so, I would recommended for you to start do some research on DSLR, some basic photography, and analyze the photos from the pro. No photography school necessary. That is what I did years ago. Also, you could do this while Ron shopping for his new FX camera. LOL.

  3. I'm going to have to watch you guys, you keep trying to give away my new camera! LOL

Aaron, when you post to the blog it will give you achoice of what size photo, small, medium, large or extra large. Always choose the large option. With the panoramas it still won't be big but it will be a little bigger.

  4. Very nice choice of scenery to make into a panorama! That Fuji sure does a nice job of stitching together the individual photos into one big panorama.
You won't be able to do panoramas in camera with the D300 when you get it. You'll have to stitch the individual pictures together with a photo editing program after the fact.
