Happy Easter everyone!
I got my hands on a Nikon 105mm "micro" lens a few weeks ago and this is the first chance I've had to use it. The snow has finally melted and the sun is out and it's actually 60 degrees today. Even though I'm still not 100% I had to get out and take a few photos of the only flowers we have so far.
I was suprised to see that in certain light this lens can be set to an f stop of 52! These three shots were taken between f32 and f45. Now all I need is some interesting bugs!
very nice. :) glad you're feeling a bit better.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, nice group of pictures!
ReplyDeleteDown to f52, that's really something, sure will help keeping everything in focus. Looking forward to seeing what interesting pictures you come up with your macro lens.
Good to hear you are feeling better, the sunshine and warmer weather is always good news too!
I appreciate all the well wishes. I think I finally made it over the hump yesterday and am headed to being completely well again in just a couple of more days.
ReplyDeleteI almost held off taking any macro shots this week. I ordered a D800 last Tuesday that should be here this week and I was going to wait for it to get here to try out the new lens but when Cheryl pointed out the flowers I decided to take the shots today. It felt good to get outside!
D800, very cool! I'll bet you can hardly wait... Looking forward to seeing images and your impressions after you get a chance to take it out shooting!
DeleteWonderful spring motives, Happily Easter !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful macro.. Fullcolors!!!.. Regards..
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear you are feeling better. Charlotte and her dad are fighting the crud now. Hope I don't catch it.
ReplyDeleteLike the macros. Flowers seem ready made for macro shots!
I'm glad you are feeling better. Nice macro shots! Are there anyway I can get this lens back? LOL.
ReplyDeleteWell looking at the recent posts, I need to find a second, third, and maybe a fourth job to afford all of the toys everyone has been getting. lol. Amazing macros.
