A Tear In The Woods
Campsite #51 at Camp Doris is known as a Shady Site. Not in a bad way, but as in 'Good Shade on a Hot Day!'
A little Bitty Tear
Well this was not one of the Hot Days, but the Sun was shining bright and casting almost full shadows from the Post Oak Trees! Standing in the way of those Shadows was this handcrafted, homemade beauty of a 'Lean, Mean, Camping Machine' known as a Teardrop Camper!
Danger! Contains Gas!
Constructed of individually sawed lengths and widths of colorful wood, one's eyes had a hard time focusing on the puzzle design highlighted by Sun and Shadow! Brought a Tear to my Eye!
A Coded Message?
"If It's Worth Building! Do it in Style!
that is really beautiful! i'd hate to tow it on the road for fear of an accident and damage! it is too pretty to use! :)
ReplyDeleteI wish the builder had been home at this visit.
ReplyDeleteHis story behind this build must be fascinating!
Can't even imagine "BUG SPLATS" on the nose of that Teardrop!
Great find, what a beauty, you can see that someone really put their heart into this one!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with both of you, almost to beautiful to take out on the road or camping.
Great !
ReplyDeleteWhat a marvelous work !

I remember that little camper. That was a lot of man hours that went into building that. I don't think I would have the patience to work with so many little pieces of wood like he did. I'm more inclined to want something big and modern with all of the conveiences of home.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have one of these. I like the T@B too.
ReplyDeleteI would love to own that beauty. We had a tent camper when our children were young and it allowed us to show them beautiful parts of our country!
