These were shot with a full frame camera (Nikon D800) with about a 60% moon. ISO was 1600 with an f stop of 2.8 at 13 seconds.
These are very sharp! I would lower the ISO to get to 30 sec. to get the bottom of the picture brighter, and the Milky Way.
Good shots Ron! It's been way too long for me since I have seen these night skies and the profiles of the mountains.
Rich deep blue skies, like that first shot with the branches in the foreground!
Thanks Paul! Aaron and I spent some time playing around with the manual settings on the white balance to get the photo to match what we were seeing as much as possible. Turns out a setting of 3570K seems to do the trick.
Both of these turned out awesome!! This was one of my favorite parts of the weekend!
