Lots of questions... What make and model did youget? Does it have it's own camera/video system or does it have enough lift to use with one of your Nikon cameras? Does it use GPS for stationary hovering and the return to home function? What kind of range and flight time does it have?
It's a DJI Mavic Air 2. It has it's own camera system, flight time is about 30 minutes depending on the wind. It shoots 4K video and 48mp photos. It does use HPS and has a return to home function. It does all sorts of things I haven't used yet like following a subject, flying specific patterns around a subject and it shoots timelapse.
I have a lot of learning to do but hopefully I will get some good photos. Can't wait until whale season! It has a 6 mile range but legally I am supposed to keep it in site. It's fast and the software makes it pretty easy to track and know how high it is, how far away and in what direction and how much flight time is left.
Oh boy, you're going to have great fun with that!
