The Nikon D850 has the ability to shoot and put together a time lapse in the camera. I have been playing with this some lately because the possibilities for time lapse here are just about endless.
This time lapse was taken from my lanai last month. This is two hours of photos with a photo being taken every eight seconds.

Absolutely! I've already got 3 spots picked out for that and milky way season is here.
