Flowers from Home

Red and pink geraniums

The spring and early summer rains made for good growing conditions for the flowers . Thought a walk around the backyard showing some of them might be enjoyed!

Red and white impatiens

Everyone gets their own flowers to tend!

Shasta Daisy and yellow Day Lilly

'PoW WoW' Coneflower

Orange Butterfly Bush and white Daisys

These are just a few of the many varieties that Charlotte has growing around the house. She has quite a green thumb! Every plant she locates according to the amount of sunlight it receives during the day. And speaking of the sun, it is producing a string of 100 degree temps with no rain in sight!

  1. Early summer rain? What's that? We haven't had rain in weeks. The crops are starting to wilt away.

It looks like Charlotte stays very busy tending to her gardens, lots of color and not a weed in sight! These are some nice photos. I especially like the "Pow Wow Coneflower" shot.

Did you buy a book? LOL

    1. Ron already have the book but I made it easier than that. Just turned around in my chair and hollered 'What's this purple one called?' Nothing to it!

  3. Your back yard is beautiful, Charlotte most certainly has a green thumb! I agree with Ron, your coneflower photograph is a real eye catcher.

Let me know if you get tired of all that sun and no rain to go with... I'll happily trade you! Out here on the Coast we are having the opposite problem, all rain no sun. So much so that even my plants in the greenhouse are barely growing.

    1. If I could I would trade half of my days of sun for half of your rainy days even up! Shoot, might even give some boot!

Will pass on your compliment to the missus of the garden!

  5. Charlotte definitely has a green thumb with lots of work attached to it! She plans well obviously. I would love to have something similar in my backyard, but I guess I am too impatient...could use some impatience, tho. I've reduced my gardening to pots of herbs and several well placed pots of red geraniums for color.

  6. Wow! What a paradise! I'm partial to those coneflowers. They're beautiful. Tell Charlotte that I'm impressed and makes me want to visit you guys and spend time in that backyard! I hope you have a very great weekend and 4th of July. Take good care. Fondly, Levonne
