White specks in photo. Bad image sensor?

Hi Ron and Quynh

I need your expert opinions!

So today I was out taking pictures around the waterfront using my Wife's camera. I'm hoping I haven't broken it. I'm thinking the sensor might be burning out due to the many white specks showing up mainly in the darker areas of the photos.

Any thoughts?

You and your eagles! I couldn't get that shot here ever! I almost miss photographing the birds. Maybe in a couple of more years.
