This one is from a couple of weeks ago (it's still hot here) when a storm was moving through the area. The clouds were low and dark and it felt like the dinosaurs would be coming out soon.
I don't know what it is but I like taking photos of the sky. Sunny or cloudy it doesn't seem to matter, I just like it to have a lot of contrasting features or colors.
I bought a rain proof bag for my camera so I can get out in the rain and do some shooting should the clouds look just right. I haven't tried it yet but it's in my kit for when the time is right.
One of those storms would sure be welcome about right now! That is an old an mysterious part of the world you live in and Im sure there are strange critters roaming about, especially beyond and to the North of the fence! Have you ever checked for sign to see what may be coming thru the holes and gaps in the fence? lol
Those clouds seem to be moving fast in the pic. I can smell the rain.
Ominous and moody shot, I like it!
ReplyDeleteI recall reading not to put your camera away just because the sun is not out as some of the best pictures are when the weather is at it's worst!
