I'll have you know I braved 40 mph winds on top of a mountain to get this shot. Even with a tripod I had to take several to get one this steady and that was only because I was putting my considerable wieght on the tripod to keep it from moving!
The local military base was shotting artillery early in the day and had set a field on fire. If you look between the lake and the city lights you can see the smoke low over the hills and even the fire line.
This was taken with the Sigma 10-20mm.
Good shot! I think this may be the first night shot of the lights from Mt. Scott that I have seen. Makes a very interesting photo.
ReplyDeleteThe Sigma 10-20 did an outstanding job! Clarity was impressive.
ReplyDeleteThis photo definately needs to be clicked on for the full effect!
Those guys had a pretty good fire going.
The view of the Lake Elmer Thomas Recreation Area ( LETRA ) with its night lights on is great. Notice the RV's in center of pic on south lake shore.
This pic covers alot of ground!
Very very nice!!! Don't see enough night shots, in fact hardly any. Hummm got me thinking...
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome shot! I like the blue color goes well with this night shot. It would be great, if you brave enough, take some shots during lighting storms at this spot. Just a suggestion only, please don't take my word for it.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm, let me think, lightning, on top of a mountain with a big metal tripod, sounds like fun!!! :~)
