More romance stuff

Yea, yea, yea, where's the TV remote? LOL

This was actually my youngest daughter's idea. This is her hand print next to Aaron's with their wedding rings stuck in the sand.

As much as I hate to admit it, it wasn't a bad photo idea. She has a pretty good photographic eye, the only problem is that she only takes pictures with her cell phone. Getting her to use a real camera is almost impossible. Kids! What are you gonna do?

  1. Pretty creative idea she had.
Speaking of cell phone pics-I have noticed on various photo sites that some of the pics from cell phones are really artistic and have appeal. I suppose it's all about subject matter and composition along with light conditions-but most of all a good photo is in the mind of the artist and the viewer.

    1. Don't get me started on cell phone cameras! LOL

My daughter takes literally 1000's of photos with her phone. She even has an editing program that she uses and edits the photos on that tiny little cell phone screen. Drives me crazy!! She does have some good photos but I know that if she were to use a "real' camera the photos would be so much better and she could be more creative. Maybe I'm just old school, not quite as old school as you but still. LOL

    2. Yeah I guess I'm old school in alot of ways about pics. I still think some of the old B&W's taken with box cameras and film can't be beat. (I wouldn't give up my digital with all it's color capturing abilities)-but an appealing subject matter always catches my interest even more than a perfectly exposed pic.

I think I understand your feelings about cell phones. Kids and G-Kids all sitting around our house waiting on dinner. Everyones heads are down with their thumbs moving while trying to carry on a conversation. Chimes from the phones are going off, all I can figure out is they must be texting each other rather than speaking! Old-school, maybe, but this drives me crazy!!LOL

    3. Oh yea, I know what you mean. She's the same way. If she didn't have her phone I think she would go into convulsions. LOL

    5. It's funny you should say that. While she was trying to get this shot with her cell phone, which by the way she couldn't because the phone wasn't fast enough :~), the waves came in a couple of times and just about washed the rings away. I thought I was going to have to borrow a metal detector!

  2. love this shot...very creative gal!!! (might have to steal the idea next time we visit HI :)
On the cell phone camera--there are some big name photographers who are basically just using their cell phones now for captures...ie. Dewitt Jones, some awesome shots :)

    1. I guess I'm just becoming a camera snob. LOL

I know the cameras in the cell phones are getting better but anytime you can get a good photo with a cell phone you can get an even better photo with a real camera and there's so much you can't do with a cell phone camera. I think it limits your ability to be creative with the different settings in a real camera.

  3. Darn good idea for a photo! Oh to be young and creative... Not that I'm old or anything! LOL

Every once in a while I use my cell phone camera for a quick snap shot of one thing or other... Always I'm disappointed with the results knowing that if I had taken a minute more I could have captured the moment much better with a proper camera!

  4. Yup, very creative. Needs to learn how imaginative a "real" camera can be!!
