I found this thing in my house...

I think it's called a camera!

It's been so long since I picked it up I'm not sure I remember how to work it. This photo is from 5-6 weeks ago before I caught the crud from the grand kids.

I was still playing with a new lens to see what kind of photos it will produce under different conditions and walking out onto the porch and shooting some birds was the quickest way to test it that day.

I guess the bird was more hungry than he was worried about me because after he gave me the once over he went back to chowing down on the free meal.

  1. Brave bird! Looks like a wood pecker of some sort. So tell me more about this new lens!

Don't you know, grandkids keep your immune system up to date with every possible contagion known to mankind. :)

    1. It's an "old" new lens. The Nikon 80-400mm AF-S. I just haven't had much time to play with it. I'm taking it to Maui with me next month to photo the whales from a boat (or two) so I've been looking for the sweet spot in the lens.
