I've been chomping at the bit to get out and take some pictures with the new Nikon 18-300 but the weather has been overcast and rainy since Christmas. So in the mean time here are some random pictures in the rain with the new lens...
The weather forecast beginning tomorrow is for much nicer weather through the weekend... Fingers crossed!

ReplyDeleteGood question! Just a few moments ago I laid a ruler on the floor and got to within about 8" of it with the lens zoomed out to 300mm before the camera wouldn't focus any more. In the field of view was 2.5" across the widest part of the picture.
DeleteSo far this lens is exceeding my expectations! I'm hoping to get out and take a few more pictures this afternoon.
Eight inches is close at 300mm! Can't wait to see more photos.
