I like the last picture! This's a cool thing to do, and good job on the controlling the timing on the water drops. Have you try this setup with a flash, and a macro lens?
I was using one flash to the side about a 45 degree angle from the camera. I was using the 17-55mm lens about a foot way from the water droplets at 55mm. I am going to do it again but try a couple different things. I don't have any really close up macro lens. The best I have is the 17-55.
