I think the whales must sense when I am around because they never want to cooperate as far as me getting "that" shot of them jumping. I even went out on a boat tour this trip and pretty much had the boat all to myself and they still didn't jump.
What made things worse is while at a luau we met a couple of younger girls (in their 20's) who were asking about my camera equipment and they showed me a photo they got of a breaching whale while on a whale tour. It was a really nice photo too. To make things even worse this was their first trip to Hawaii and they took the photo with a frickin' cell phone!
I really needed those free mai tais after that.
bwahahaha. cell shot snarkiness comes back to bite you in the butt! :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes it seems getting a great shot can just be a matter of good fortune!
ReplyDeleteOh dear! Keep the faith!
ReplyDeleteAmazing shots.
ReplyDeleteHow frustrating is that... Oh well like I said before, next year is your year for whale pictures!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if those gals were using tripods with their cell phones?
Funny, funny man. I guess I should be happy it wasn't a selfie with the whale jumping in the background. LOL
DeleteHello .. Fab!!!.. Very good pictures ..Regards
ReplyDeleteDon't you hate that! I would ask those girls phone#.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm.... Let's see now, young girls in shorts and tank tops, I think asking for their phone number would have gotten me killed! LOL
