Just kicking back before sunset contemplating another mai tai. Now where's that chair Q had? LOL

  1. With those high clouds, it looks like there might be a spectacular sunset coming your way. Is that ukelele music softly playing in the background?

  3. WOW! I like the color on this one. If you have time, I would take my camera mounted on the tripod, and set right on the edge of the water. Then drag my shutter speed until I get the silky water.

  7. Q, I didn't bring my tripod. I know, I said I was going to and I even had it packed but my suitcase was overwieght so I had to leave something behind. I had a choice of going naked or leaving the tripod so I thought I would do everybody a favor and leave the tripod!

I will be investing is a nice, light carbon fiber tripod when I get home for the next trip. I have my monopod with me but it just doesn't get the job done well enough.

  8. LOL Under the circumstances I would have left the tripod behind as well! Guess that's the difference between us amature photographers and the professional photographers.
Besides it's so bright there in Hawaii that it's difficult to get a blurred picture shooting handheld.

  9. OH NO NO NO NO! According to TSA rules, you can bring your tripod on the plane. There's another alternative, you could strap your monopod to the coconut tree for the shot. LOL

  10. I didn't know that you could take the tripod on the plane. I figured they would say know because you could beat someone with it. You're just full of nice little tidbits of information Q.

Next time I promise, it will either be a tripod or I will take a bunjee cord to strap the monopod to a tree! LOL
