I would try that except the lightning in these shots was far away and could only be seen from a high vantage point and the ponds don't have any water in them.
I don't think I would know what to do if I saw a storm like this...it's been so long since we've had a thunderstorm. Glad somebody is getting some rain. P.S. took my camera class this past wednesday and I've been reading the D90 manual--be afraid, be very,very afraid !!!! LOL
see, i'm far more impressed with these shots from your own porch than any old hawaiian sunset! sheesh!

Very traumatic skys! I agree with Q, these are more intense then your first "Thor" post.
