Last night we had a hazy, slightly cloudy night that produced a massive white ring around the full moon. I told Aaron (who was at the house last night with our daughter and grandkids) and my wife that I was going to take some photos of it and they both were of the opinion I would never get the ring to show up in a photo.
I love a good challenge! LOL
oh, this is great! i've tried to capture one of those once and couldn't get much into view. you got the entire thing!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tex. I shot this with the Nikon 17-35mm lens at 17mm and f8 for 30 seconds. Shhhhh... don't tell anybody but I used a tripod. LOL
DeleteSweet photo Ron! Way to let your competitive side shine, literally:)
ReplyDeleteI've heard that is means there is a storm on it's way. Probably an old wives tale.
ReplyDeleteYou have proof them wrong! With 30 sec. exposure, everything will show up in the picture. Good Work!
ReplyDeleteNicely done! I've seen one in the 4 corners of Utah. So amazing to look at. I can't believe you captured it!:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great capture Ron, and there is allot of character in the background clouds too. I'd say this picture is one of your top ten best! (so far)...
