Just 123 days and I will be seeing this every morning for 15 days. I actually get up just before sunrise everyday that we are in Hawaii. Don't know why but I just do. I might have to get up in the middle of the night and go to the top of the volcano this next trip and photograph a sunrise from there. I'm not making any promises but just maybe...
Nice shot...see what happens when you get up early!! Guess what??? I busted out hubby's D90 today and started shooting. I've been a little intimidated by all the bells and whistles (remember I shoot a D40X) but decided today to try a big kid camera. We shall see what I come up with... Might have to start lifting weights as it's a lot heavier than the D40X--I know, call me a WHIMP!!
Well it's about time! You were supposed to be using the D90 on your last Hawaii trip. You'll get to where you like those bells and whistles and it will become second nature on how to use them. You just need to get some saddles bags for Gracie and she can carry your gear for you! LOL
I know, I know...I had planned to take it to HI but got scared thinking I didn't know enough about using it, so I took my old reliable. I am taking an interchangeable lenses class the end of the month. Oh my the knowledge that is going to transpire.
Eventually and this still applies to me big time, eventually after getting on to how to use a digital SLR camera with all the selectable options and interchangeable lenses you find you are able to get the camera to actually capture what you see in a scene, your pictures go from being snapshots to photographs. At least thats what's happening with my photography. Having said that I still have a long way to go!
A class? You push the button, twist the lens and remove then you reverse the process for the new lens. That will be $75 please! LOL
I've always thought about going to one of the Nikon seminars they put on but with what it cost to go to one I could by a lens or two and figure it out on my own. May take me longer but then I have more stuff!
Using different lenses and the different settings in the camera will bring a whole new way to how you look at photography. Paul is right, your pictures will go from snapshots to photographs and then you will just want more and more equipment. It's a disease!
The scene reminds me of the last passing clouds from an overnight storm. Nice effect!
