The yellow patch near his eye makes his eye look enormous. Nice captures!:)
He's an interesting looking bird alright!
These are sharp, and love that sharpness of the bird eye! This is I call birds photography.
What lens did you use on these shots?
These were shot with the Nikon 600mm f4 with a Nikon 1.4 teleconverter added.
Sure drag my name into it... Ha ha! :)Tex Wis beat me to the I.D. on this one but I have way more information to offer! The common myna, sometimes spelled mynah, also known as "Indian myna", is a member of the family Sturnidae native to Asia. The common myna was brought to Honolulu in 1866, in an effort to combat an agricultural pest, the cutworm moth, which was wrecking havoc on the sugarcane crops. The mynas were successful, as was their adaption to urban and suburban habitats; they quickly established themselves on neighboring islands.
And these silly birds would rather walk or hop to where ever they are going.
I may have to start calling you "paul-apedia". LOLIt is interesting how the ended up in hawaii though.
