This was taken from a boat in the ocean about 7:00 a.m. in the morning. I was headed out to see if the whales would be active and while waiting for the whales I took a few shots of the sunrise.
In Hawai'i I think the sunsets are better than the sunrises but then again, I don't like to get up early that much!
Great shot! Most of the time during my vacation, I arrived at the spot to setup my camera an hour before sunrise, and the same at sunset. I don't know why my family would put up with me for years!
