Going Nastalgic

I've been trying to learn more about the NIK software lately and have started playing around with some of their preset filters or "recipes" as they call them. There are so many choices it's almost hard to decide what you want to use or if you just want to post process a photo manually. Choices and choices, which one do I choose?

It's good to have choices though!

  1. The way you processed this photo reminds me of a poster. I agree it is good to have choices to take care of different uses for pics.

    1. I was thinking more along the lines of an old post card but poster works for me!

I don't use the recipes very often just because I don't think about it and some of them are kind of strange looking. LOL

  2. In photography you have a lot of choices, but the cost always narrow down to one choice "don't buy it". LOL.

    1. Well now you sound like Cheryl! LOL I always say yes, buy it, and she always says; you are going to do what? and then I get that look, you know the one I'm talking about, don't you? LOL

  3. Interesting results using the preset recipes, to me this gives a 1950's postcard look.

I suspect that before long you will be making your own recipes with this software, I look forward to seeing what you come up with! Then when you and Q come up to visit you can teach me how to get these same incredible results you guys are getting!

    1. It sounds like you have already been investigating the software. You can set your own "recipes" in the software if you find something you use over and over or really like.

I will come and visit. Cheryl and I are looking at buying a travel trailer and myabe I can talk her into a long road trip once we get one. I need to break down and pay the money for our passports first though! LOL
