HUH?
We spent a little time in the water yesterday and ended up seeing several of the Hawaiian trigger fish or as they are called here, humuhumunukunukuapua'a.
These little f... uh, um, fellas are fast! I'm working on getting better photos of these fish but they don't like to pose for me. LOL
These were shot using the Nikon D300 with a Nikon 24mm f2.8 lens set at 2.8 with the ISO at 1600 and no flash.
thanks for the chuckle. :)
ReplyDeleteMercy ... that's one heck of a name!LOL
ReplyDeletedidn't I tell you to take your SPEEDO?? You would than be able to catch that humuhumunukunukuapua`a!!! LOL, Have you had my Maui Taco yet???
ReplyDeleteI think I'm scaring everybody enough just with my white legs. A speedo would really not be good for me! LOL
DeleteBeen to Maui Tacos twice so far so yes, I have had a taco (or two) for you. We've been eating a lot so it's a good thing I'm swimming everyday trying to get photos or I would come back fatter than when I left. Stayed in the water a little over two hours today and took 1400 shots of fish. I may actually have a few that are good!
Quite a Humdinger you focused your lens on!
ReplyDeleteThats quite a mouthfull! Haha
ReplyDeleteOh good, more underwater pictures to come!
It seems to me the underwater housing working out good for you. Could you shoot some of the wave also?
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any luck shooting the waves Q. Most of the waves are breaking right at the reefs so if I'm in the right spot to get the photo I'm going to get pounded onto the reef so I've been staying away from those. The other spots with good waves have just been too big. With the winds blowing it has made being in the big waves dangerous with rip tides and strong currents and I just don't swim well enough right now to try that. It sucks being fat and out of shape!
