Yesterday turned out to be a banner day for rainbows. We had a heavy mist/light rain off and on all day long and it made the conditions perfect for rainbows. You litterally couldn't go any where on the west side of the island without seeing a rainbow throughout the day. I could have spent the whole day just shooting rainbows.
This is a beautiful capture!
ReplyDeleteyou're a beast!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad they are getting the much needed rain. When we lived there I loved walking in the rain. It was always warm, unlike here when it rains!!
ReplyDeleteMust be a typo in Tex's note--I'm sure she meant you're the BeST!! :) Have a Maui (fish) taco for me!!
Aloha Val and mahalo!
Delete"beast", "best", I'll take either one! LOL
It rained for three days before we got here and rained off and on all day yesterday and is supposed to do the same thing today. It's been nice though, it will rain for about ten minutes and then the sun will come out and twenty minutes later it will rain again. It makes the skies great for photography as long as you shoot between the rains.
Headed to upcountry today after a swim in the surf this morning trying to photograph a non-cooperative turtle.
Noce! Don't forget the ND Grad. for this particular shot. Also, with this much of rain you will have a showcase of waterfalls in Hana.
ReplyDeleteThanks Q, I've got them in my VERY heavy camera bag. I brought two camera bags this trip, one to get everything here that weighed about 55 pounds (not including the underwater housing, tripod or monopod) and another, smaller bag to use while we're here to carry around the gear I'm using on during the day.
DeleteHana and the road to it is supposed to get rain everyday for the next five days and they've been getting it pretty steady for the last week so when we do make the trip the waterfalls should really being flowing. We're probably going to wait until next week to make the drive just to give the rain time to stop.
You should bring me along to carry those camera gears for you. Lol
DeleteIf I keep buying camera gear I'm going to need a "sherpa". LOL
DeleteI could use you here to teach me some things. We ran into a photographer at an art fair in Banyon Tree Park this morning that said he would be happy to go out with me and show me how to take photos.... for $100 an hour!!!!!
