This photo was inspired by another photo I seen on Facebook. The other photographer was glad to share how he did it with me. Then I used Google search how to set the camera up for the star trails. This image was made using 76, 30 second exposures, converting them all to JPEG, then using a image stacking software to make a composite. I hope to be doing a lot more of these types of images in the future.
Like this a lot. Star trails make interesting pics! That's a lot of 30 second frames to produce one shot. Takes patience I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteImpressive results! Perfect subject matter in the foreground for this shot also. Looking forward to seeing more!
ReplyDeleteVery Nice! I really like the way you add the wind turbine in the foreground. By looking at this shot, you probably tracking the star length by 10 degree. Perhaps, you might try 15 min. exposure with 8 frames. Good work!
ReplyDeleteAwesome work, Aaron! I, too, really like the wind turbine and the star trails are amazing!
ReplyDeletereally, really awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis came out really nice. How long did it take the program to stack the photos?
ReplyDeleteIt only took 59 seconds to stack them. Only reason i know that is it has a timer.I think doing the batch raw conversion with Photoshop took the longest.
