Arizona is a great place to do some hiking and see the scenery but if you are planning a hike I would definitely go during the winter months. They say the summer heat is a "dry heat" but dry or not, 110 is 110!The main reason I keep going back to Arizona for the hiking is the little gold flakes you can find in the quartz rock out there!
The cactus shot is well done! Not so easy to get a shot like this and still get good lighting on the foreground. Poking aound for gold looks like fun too!
