Day at the races

The Rumble Mountain Rage is a downhill race held every year in nearby Port Alice. For the first year ever it didn't rain and the 2.5 mile down hill course was dry!

The first picture is my stepson Jake who lives for this sort of thing. The other two pictures are as shot. I took about 300 pictures today, I'll be able to do something with about about 1/4 of them.

  1. These are some nice shots. Did you use the flash or run the ISO up some? The first two appear to be some good stop action shooting and the last one looks like you were following your subject. Very nice tracking!

My wife always asks me why I am talking so many photos of the same thing. She hasn't quite grasped the idea that they all won't be good or look they way I want them to. She uses a point and shoot camera and thinks if you put it on automatic then they will all be good photos. Of course she always comes and asks me to take photos of stuff for her with my "fancy camera" because she can't get the photo she wants. I guess I'm good for something! LOL
