Drismal...

Port Hardy Waterfront

Urban Dictionary: Drismal

drismal. the sad melancholy feeling induced by a rainy overcast day.

Drisnal days like this are typical this time of year on the Northern tip of Vancouver Island... 3:15 and the street lights are already coming on, ugh! On the shortest day of the year we officially get 7 hours and 59 minutes of daylight and 16 hours 1 minute of darkness.

But hey no worries, it's all good, after this weekend the days are going to start getting longer again!

    1. It's not that bad really though this part of the world isn't for everyone. Fortunately the sun comes out now and then for a few days.

The flip side to this is that on the longest day of the year up here we get 16 hours and 1 minute of daylight and only 7 hours and 59 minutes of darkness!
