Nighttime on the island

The title pretty much says it all.

This is a shot from the volcano looking towards Kihei and McGregor Point on Maui. You can see the island of Lana'i in the background lit up by the full moon.

The large mass of lights on the left is part of Kahului, the big city here on the island.

  2. Great night capture, the full moon really adds to this picture!

Is thia looking the same direction as the daytime view of Maui you posted a few days ago?

It's pretty much the same direction. This is looking just a little southwest of the daytime shot and I'm farther back (higher up the volcano) than the daytime shot. The daytime shot was around 2500-3000 feet up. This shot is around 7000 feet I think.

  3. Man! You sure adventure out at night lately. I hardly see night pictures from you when you are in mainland.

There was nothing to shoot at night back on the mainland! LOL
