Years ago Stephanie (my Wife) and I were out hiking on a beach a few miles up the inlet from here. Just by chance I noticed something in the woods not quite the right colour. On further investigation (crawl through the underbrush) we had found a very old "Steam Donkey" a steam powered portable winch used for logging.
On a number of ocasions since we have tried to relocate that old "Steam Donkey" but for whatever reason were unable to until yesterday! Finally there it was just as we had left it, only a few feet from the beach but nearly invisable until you were right up to it.
Steam Donkey? Is that Canadian for "still"? LOL
