  1. Ahhhhhhhh! I think I hate you! LOL

These are all amazing shots. I wish I had half the talent and "eye" that you have. I really like that waterfall shot from Oregon.

Now I have questions, the shot from Yosemite with the reflsections in the water, this looks like a long exposure, were you using a graduated ND filter?

Was the False Kiva shot a series of bracketed shots made into an HDR image? And, how long was the night time exposure on the tree with the stars?

    1. Thanks for your comments! No talent involved on these shots, the nature is there for you, all you have to do is use the right tools.

ON the Yosemite shot, I don't remember exactly, but by looking at the clouds, and the water in the foreground. It has to be stacked with a Lee .9 ND, and .9GND soft.

The False Kiva it was a single exposure.

The star trails it was ISO 1600, f/4, 30 seconds exposure, total of 180 minutes. I focus the tree on my first and last exposures and painting the tree with a flashlight. Then I focus the bright stars or infinity for 180 minutes exposures. Make sure to program your timer to take a series of consecutive shots with a 1-second interval to ensure minimal gaps in the trails.

Here are some tips for you to do if you up to it! Pick a new moon night, and do a same setup as I described above. Including your little cabin by the pond in your frame. But, put some colors lighting inside your little cabin, and painting the outside with a flashlight on your first and last 30 seconds exposures. Make sure do some test shot first to get correct exposure. Otherwise, you're wasting 3 hours of your work. Good Luck!

How about some Kansas BBQ now?
