Food for the Soul, Part 4

Getting Low


About half of the lakes on the refuge were several feet low however, there were a couple that were completely full. They were the smaller lakes tucked back in the mountains a little more. Oklahoma definitely could use several inches of rain.

You can see the regular water level near the top of the concrete pillars which is about four feet lower than it should be.




Technically these are all flowers but in the big city they would be considered weeds. The wildflowers were few and far between this trip. This year the weather was cooler than normal I think and that kept most of the flowers from blooming just yet.

  4. Great perspective on that first picture!
    Seems a little early for flowers especially after the prolonged winter many especially in the Eastern Us had this year...
