I took this photo from the top of one of those Arizona "hills". It took me about four hours to get to where I took this shot. I really need to get in shape!!This was taken just outside of Mesa, AZ looking towards the north east.

This is a great picture! The haze gives good contrast to the various ridges and "hilltops". Nice saturated colours too! It looks hot and dry there, I'll bet you have to pack a fair amount of water allong with you on one of these hikes.
ReplyDeleteIt's generally very dry during the summer and very hot. If I'm hiking during the winter when the high temperature is in the 70s I can get away with about a gallon of water. If I go in late spring or summer when the temps are 100 or more then I will carry three gallons or more of water with me. I don't go to often when it's that hot, water is heavy!!
