Same Bee different camera

Previously I posted a cell phone picture of a Bee on a clover flower... What I had forgotten is that I took some pictures with my real camera (D90) of the same Bee on the same Clover flower. So just for the fun of it here is a comparison.

  2. Oh yea, that's a good photo! The cell phone photo is alright but there is just way more detail and color with the real camera. Nice job!

  3. Guess I'm not going to get away with leaving the real camera at home... LOL

  4. Good comparison. I guess your next comparisons would be D800E vs D90. LOL

    1. I have two paths to choose from...

Buy an 18-300 DX lens now and buy a 24mp DX body in a year or so.
      - OR -
Wait and buy a 28-300 FX lens and a D800E FX body at some point.

The first option would cost less than half what the second option would cost!

    2. For me I guess it would depend on how long the wait would be for the D800E set up. If it's going to be a few years I would invest in the DX lens now and then a new DX camera later.

I like the FX format because I like shooting those sunsets and the other wide angle shots that it does so well with but when it comes right down to it, it's all about taking photos and you work with what you've got. I'd rather go to Hawaii with the money I'd spend on a D4. It's all about priorities. LOL
