Just an old tree

I was out playing with the Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens again. It always amazes me how close you can to get to something and still have it in the photo. I was only about five feet from this tree when I took the photo.

  1. That is incredible! I would like to take a course on lenses so I know what they all do for us.

  3. This is a great photo! However, it would be good example try to apply the rule of 1/3 on this one. If the field to rigth or left of this tree is flat, I would composition the tree to 1/3 of your frame in the L/R. Then convert to B&W. One more thing, shoot during Sunrise or Sunset to catch the golden lights. Also, make sure bring your tripod. I would appreciated for you to take some time to do the re-shoot for me. Thank you Ron.

  5. Man-o-man, you guys are like a bunch of women, never satisfied! LOL

    Sorry ladies. :~)

Quyhn Le, I hate rules! LOL

I will get back over there and try your suggestions but I will have to wait until I have a good sky in the sunset. It may take me a couple of days.

Paul, Once I get the re-shoot for Q I will make a couple of different versions in black and white and post them with the color shot for comparison.
