Waiting on Aaron

We saw one of the best sunsets of the year last night and I should have been at the lake to take some photos however, I was at the house helping my wife watch grandkids while Aaron and our daughter were taking photos of the sunset. The things I do.... LOL

So while waiting for Aaron and our daughter to return I stepped out on the front deck and took a couple of shots. As much as I hate to admit it, Aaron's shots were a lot better than mine so now I am waiting to see if he will post any of them on the blog. He now wants to be called the Sunset Kid. Hmmmm....

This photo is exactly as it was shot. The only post processing I did to it was changing it from a RAW file to a JPEG.

    1. Paul, I'm just using the RAW converter in photoshop (CS5). I like the way it works but I haven't seen too many others though. I've tried the one in NX2 and View NX. They both work fine (View NX seems to be more along the lines of photoshop's converter but harder to get to). I started out using the converter in CS4 and got used to how it worked and I like the adjustments availble in it and CS5 is the exact same converter as far as I can tell.

I don't know why people would buy a dedicated RAW converter program but then again, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer either.

Sunset Harry aka Aaron is trying to upload his photos but is having some problems with the upload and we can't figure it out yet. Once we do he will post a couple of photos from yesterday.
