Don't want to boor you with nearly the same picture I posted yesterday, but have a look at the eyes on this fellow... Do these look like bee or wasp eyes to you? This looks more like a common house fly with a fancy paint job to me! Got me Buffaloed...

I think this is a beewolf which is actually a wasp. It's prey is the bee.

ReplyDeletePaul, also I found a pic of a Masonwasp that looks similar. If you Google these two maybe we can find out for sure what it is. Let us know what you think!
OK I think I figured it out... If you have a chance google "Hover Fly" or "Flower Fly" these flys mimic wasps but are perfectly harmless.
