Looking for a big wave


This was taken near Paia on the windward side of Maui. As we were passing by this beach I spotted a lone surfer trying to catch a wave, and a pretty big wave too!

This was taken with the Sigma 150-500mm lens set at 500mm.

    wow, that's unusual cuz normally there's dozens of surfers out there...must have been a tourist!!LOL You know they say if you don't see the locals in the water it's not safe!! (seriously)

      Well for me, surfing may not be safe anytime, locals or not! LOL

    I love surfing! I can take pictures of it all day... LOL

    Very nice scenery you've captured on the windward side of Maui, definitely going to have to check out the road to Hana one of these years!
