Inside Caesar's Palace

Don't let the blue skys fool you, these were taken inside the hotel. There was a lot more to this fountain but there were too many people around to get good photos of parts of it.

These two are in another part of the hotel on your way to the fountain pictured above. Caesar's Palace takes up a good city block if not better. When we would go into the hotel through the main lobby and walk the hall to the elavator that took us to our room we had to walk about 100 yards just to get to the elavator and then we went up about 20 floors. I don't think I've walked so much in a very long, long time.

These were all taken with the Nikon 17-35mm f2.8 lens on the D700 with the ISO set at 1600.

  1. This is absolutely stunning shot! There's one thing I like about the D700, and D3 is that the WB handle very well under mix lighting. I'm glad you bought the 17-35mm.

    1. Thanks Q! I'm glad I got the lens too. It's come in pretty handy so far. I appreciate the info you gave me about the lenses before I purchased. I'm slowly building my arsenal of Nikon lenses. I may eventually have to talk you out of that 200-400mm lens! LOL

    2. The bad thing about experiment on the Pro. Nikon lenses you won't forget about it. If I don't have to send my kids to college, I may own all the Pro. Nikon lenses. Are you sure want to play around with my 200-400mm? The cost for this one equivalent to a trip to Hawaii for 2 people! LOL.

  2. Impressive results with this lens! There's really no other way to get so much in one picture except with the proper equipment.

No way I'm going to be able to keep up with either you or Q when it comes to "pro" lenses... Un fortunately my budget only gets me to the "semi-pro" level... Until I win the lottery anyway! LOL

    1. I completely understand that Paul. Until this year I didn't think I would be able to have the things I've got but for some reason it has been a very good year. Hopefully it will last a while so I can get a few more toys and a couple of more trips in! LOL

  3. Ron, well these are great shots, but I am looking forward to you getting back on your ranch and exposing us to those nature shots soon. I'm a little partial to nature stuff :) Have a great weekend, looks like we're in for some warm weather here in the midwest.

    1. Thanks Val! The movers are coming tomorrow to move the furniture so we will be on the ranch full time starting tomorrow night. I'm hoping for lots of photo opportunities there. I may even permannetly mount a monopod on the deck that overlooks the ponds.

Although, I still have a few Vegas and Maui photos I will be posting. I'm sure you won't mind the Muai photos will you? LOL
