Sun Halos are caused by ice crystals high in the atmosphere. For whatever reason the Sun Halo on Sunday was particularly bright, must have been just the right conditions.
Not being one to pass up a good photo opportunity I took a number of pictures incorporating this Halo. Above are the best two pictures from Sunday.
