And before you ask, I don't know what kind of fish this is. It appears to be related to an Ambon Toby fish but it was bigger than they are supposed to get.
Interesting and intricate pattern on this one, I'll bet he blends in perfectly with the coral reefs when he wants to! Is this photo from your California trip or one of your Maui trips?
Fish that live in salt water and around the coral reefs are so colorful. The orange and blue colors create an unusual set of markings on this fish. Neat eyeball to eyeball view!
