Wayward Skies

In Kansas the saying is "If you don't like the weather now, wait a couple hours and it will change." This time of year that couldn't be more true. It seems as if one minute the sky is clear and blue and the next storm clouds roll in. These were taken out at Ron's house from atop a 30 ft. tripod, well a windmill anyway, to get above the trees. Both are 5 shot HDR images.

  1. Holy mackerel. I cannot imagine getting to the top of windmill like you've done. These photos are absolutely amazing and worth every foot of your journey, if you ask me. Thanks!

  2. I agree, well worth the climb for these results! Your HDR post processing has really brought the sky alive, lots of depth in these pictures.

Hopefully this is all the storm clouds you see over your way tonight... I've seen some nasty footage from Oklahoma on tonights evening news!

  3. The view is great from up there and so are your pics!
Nice to see that everything looks green again after the droughts.
Hope you greased the head on that windmill while you were up there; being you already made the climb! LOL

  4. These came out great! I really like the top one a lot. I guess I will have to leave the 30 foot tripods to you because my mind just won't let me do that.
