Gorgeous colors,Lovely flowers....Pierre
Variety and color! Well done! The spring season is knocking at the door.
Pretty pretty, soon it will be here in Pa too.Felicia
Lots of color in those shots. I especially like the last shot with all of the contrasts.
Thanks Ron, I spent quite a bit of time working that last shot over in Photoshop. It's actually parts of two pictures put together so everything would be in focus especially inside the flower.
Have I got something for you then! I came across a new photo program in a photographer's magazine I get called Helicon Focus (http://www.heliconsoft.com/focus_downloads.html)This is basically a bracketing or HDR program for focus. You set your camera to single point focus and take several shots, using a tripod of course and moving the focus point to different areas in the photo you want precisely in focus and then feed them into the focus program (up to 20 shots I think). It has an algorythem(?) in it that stacks the photos using the focus points you set in the camera so that everything in the frame from the closest point to the farthest looks precisely in focus.I haven't had a chance to try it yet because I haven't had a chance to take any photos but everything I have read on the program says it works like a charm. They have a free trial version you can use and then you have to buy a license, either annual or lifetime and the licensing starts at $35 per year. All you have to do is plan your shots a little and you will have perfect focus throughout the shot everytime.
Interestingly enough I've come across this program before. A model railroader / photographer friend of mine uses this software to get some very realistic looking pictures of his modeling work. He swears by it!I didn't know there was a trial version available to play with, I might have to give it a try.
Thank you for taking the time to look at our blog, we appreciate your comments!
