Fun in the sun!

A picture from a few days ago of one of the local Coast Guard's high speed response vessels.

Haven't had time to get out and take any pictures this past week as I've been taking advantage of our nice sunny weather and getting the above water portion of the landing craft all scraped, sanded and painted. Tomorrow the boat gets hauled out of the water and I get to scrape and paint the under water part. Big job! Did I mention how much I love my boat lately? (Not!) Ha ha!

  1. I'm sure she is in the good hand by captain Paul. What's her name?

    1. Before I built the boat I had several names picked out, then unfortunately a close friend died so I named the boat "Lane D" after my friend.

  4. oh I love to be in fast boats. My son-law has one and I just love it. I have no fear so like when he turns the boat on a turn.

So would I love to be in this one.

    Nice take.

  5. Quite a rig you captured there! Seems it's part boat and part rubber raft. Looks very safe. I guess one would call this a Hybrid of sorts.

I had no idea you built your landing craft. Industrious Canadian you are!
