DAMSEL WITH HAWK

Falconry was said to be a Sport of Kings and the Royal Family. This young Lady seemed very proud and caring of her Bird of Prey, a mature male Harris Hawk. The goblet was of silver and used for watering the bird.

  1. I like this portrait Parker! And I just noticed the new header picture. Nice. I'm liking how you guys are developing your site. Was there a midieval faces one?

  2. A silver goblet is pretty cool for a hawk!

I like the word "damsel"--that caught my attention, too.

  3. Nice capture and portrait! The Hawk must be well socialized to be in a busy place like that and appear so calm.

  4. Nice shot of the hawk. I agree with Paul, the hawk must be very used to being around people, I'm not even that calm in a crowd.
